Africa and abandoned theme parks

1. Nick Brandt is a photographer that is obsessed with animals in Africa. He waits long periods of time to take photos of animals in action, one was up to 18 days. He is concerned about the animals population because they are endangered.

This is my favorite picture of Nick Brandt.

3. I like it because he isn't showing any specific emotion so it shows how he would normally look like, it was also one of the few i could even find.

4. It has simplicity, there is nothing particularly eye catching about the photo, it is even in black and white!

5. He uses medium-format black and white film without telephoto or zoom lenses. He uses this because he wants to move in close to the animal to photograph it.

6. He takes these photos to show animals in their daily routine

7. He wants others to see beauty in these animals.

8. He said "The speed of development in this part of Africa reminds me of what i have seen in one other place in the world: China."








1. I would want to go to the abandoned six flags that was flooded, I would choose this place because i could take eerie and creepy pictures, which would make them very interesting.

5. I would like to take photos at this park because it is big, but abandoned. I could take creepy and eerie pictures there, which i like since they are interesting. I could take a lot of photos playing with perspective, like the photo shown above. I would play a lot with the point of view and the field of view, etc.

6. I would need a Camera, People, Food, Flashlights, Bug spray, Water, A stand, A ladder, and Gas.
